How to fix SMS or MMS does not work on BlackBerry Priv

The BlackBerry Priv with a physical keyboard and an Android operating system hit the markets a few months ago. For now, those who bought this stylish device are satisfied, and users have not reported a lot of problems. Problems such as battery drain, Wi-Fi and GPS problems, overheating and frozen applications are the same as on smartphones. Such problems disturb everyone, not just those with Priv. However, there have been complaints that SMS and MMS do not work on BlackBerry Priv. People have problems with sending messages, especially group messages, and some have reported that they can not download MMS. Most owners who have reported this issue are using the AT & Network
See if your operating system is up-to-date
If a new version of the software is available, it is advisable to download and install it. To see if there is an update, go to Settings> About Phone> System Updates> Check for Update. If there is a new version, follow the steps on the screen and update your operating system.
Update
Make sure all the apps you have are up to date. Just open the Play Store and click on three horizontal lines in the upper left corner to open the menu. Now tap My Apps & Games> Install and choose "Update All".





Disable HD calls
If you use the AT & T network, you will need to contact customer service and ask them to disable the HD calling feature. You will also need to disable this feature on the device, just go to Settings> More> Cellular> Enhanced.
Use Hangouts
For some people, the problem with SMS and MMS disappeared once they moved to Hangouts. Try it.

Factory Reset

Many people said they solved the problem with the factory reset. If you choose to do so, do not forget to save the files you are interested in because the factory reset will clear your device. Go to Settings> Backup & Reset> Factory Reset and select the "Reset Phone" option.
